Classes

We have developed our classes to offer you new experiences (at all levels) in the world of scrapbooking. We are currently offering classes "on demand" (minimum 4 students per class). Please email us if you would like to schedule a class and we will arrange it with an instructor!

Please bring BASIC CLASS SUPPLIES (trimmer, scissors, adhesive, and a pen) to all classes (except Scrapbook Basics and a few other classes as noted in the class descriptions). See individual class descriptions for any other supplies you may need.

CLASSES WE HAVE OFFERED IN THE PAST

A Cut Above Sizzix Die-Cutting Class

Join us for this fun class to learn all of the possibilities with your Big Shot machine and dies! If you are just starting to use die cuts or have used them for years you will enjoy this class! We will go over the basics and cover all the things that you wanted to know about the Big Shot and the dies! We will do 3 to 4 projects in each class, from Scrapbooking, Card Making, Home Décor to Fashion! This class includes the Die of the month for you to take home. If you take this class for 3 consecutive months your name will go into a drawing to win an alphabet set from Sizzix. Please bring to each class: Pencil, Black Finer tip Marker, Scissors, liquid adhesive, your favorite adhesive, paper trimmer, x-acto knife, super tape, a hot glue gun and blue painter’s tape (this is for a tip you’ll love). If you own a Big Shot please bring it to use in class, otherwise you may use my machines.

Greeting Cards Workshop/Club

 

Card workshop is a fun way to use your beautiful scrapbook papers. Create greeting cards that will truly impress your friends and family. Learn new techniques that can be used with other paper crafting projects. You’ll be introduced to the latest tools, papers and embellishments too. Start a card stash, so you’ll never have to buy another card.

Stitchery

Call the store to request a private session. Using felt, patterned paper, cardstock and ribbon, this class will feature sewing machine stitching as a finishing touch for photos and embellishments. We will review how to use a sewing machine and also discuss hand stitching possibilities for your layouts!

Birthday Rolodex

 

 Always forgetting peoples birthdays or hearing your friends complain they forget birthdays? Looking for a great gift for that "hip" person on your gift giving list? Make a cool hip way of keeping your birthdays in order!! Come make a "Rolodex of Birthdays". We will transform a simple Rolodex into something to hold all of your family and friends' birthdays!!!!
This is a project to utilize your scraps!! Please bring scraps to class with you!

CORE CLASSES

Scrapbook Basics

DECEMBER:
2 hour class

 Learn the basics of page layouts, the best products available, and organization skills while receiving hands-on personal instruction for your individual page(s). Bring six to eight photos relating to the same event or time frame.
Price: $10 Class Levels: Beginner
Register: call 773-935-0585 Supplies: 4-8 photos of the same event or time frame. Optional: basic class supplies.

Beyond The Basics with Tools


 

 Now that you've learned the basics, come check out this class which helps you learn more about design and explores the different tools you can use to put creative twists into your layouts.  You will complete a two page layout in addition to a smaller project, like a card or a tag.  This class is a must if you want to take your scrapbooking to the next level.
Price: $20 Class Levels: Beginner/intermediate

The Fine Print:Class & crop reservations are on a first come, first served basis and must be paid for upon reservation.  Class and crop fees are not refundable. If you will be unable to attend a class, notice must be given a minimum of 72 hours before the class meets to receive a store credit or transfer to another date. Otherwise, you can ask for a class pack to be held for you at the front counter of the store after the class session.  Products used in classes may vary from the samples shown.
